Responsibilities

As an Energy Marketing Associate, you will be responsible for managing creative marketing and external communications activations for the New Balance brand and its designated consumer groups. In this role you will participate in strategic planning to create and execute initiatives to support the annual game plan. You will manage agency/external resources to develop and execute sports marketing and public relations initiatives and represent the brand at consumer and media events. You will collaborate internally with cross-functional teams to initiate and identify newsworthy opportunities, develop seeding and influencer programs as well as leverage the brands athlete and sports marketing investments. You will manage the bi-annual Press Preview events and the New Balance Press Box as well as manage budgets/vendor relationships and provide status reports to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in liberal arts, PR/marketing/communications, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working in the sports marketing/PR/communications field at an agency or brand environment is required.
  • Experience in consumer products required.
  • Experience with the 14-19 year old consumer and/or sponsored athletes/talent preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with social media.
  • Deadline-oriented and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be energetic and comfortable working in a team environment.
  • Travel required – less than 15 percent.
