As a key member of the NB Canada Marketing Team, this position will play a vital role in driving three key areas of the business:

  1. Developing and executing integrated marketing plans for 2 of our key consumers – Style Seekers & Kids
  2. Developing marketing plans to drive traffic and conversion at our NB Retail stores
  3. Managing the NB Canada social media channels



Develop and execute integrated marketing plans for the Style Seeker and Kids consumer targets

Work with the Marketing Manager to:

  • Create best in class integrated marketing plans to win with the Style Seeker and Kids consumer targets. This goes across the funnel from media plans, influencer strategy, seeding, grassroots activation, all the way down to retail activation in the priority channels and accounts.
  • Be the consumer expert - in the know for all things culturally relevant to these consumers.
  • Develop relevant cause marketing programs as part of the kids marketing strategy and planning.
  • Build out and execute the channel marketing plans for Foot Locker and key Lifestyle Specialty accounts, delivering omni plans across retail and ecom to drive successful product launch sell-through.


Develop and execute marketing plans to drive traffic and conversion at our NB Retail stores and Family Shoe

  • Build out and execute strong traffic driving plans for NB Retail stores across the key product launches.
  • Develop strong POP for the Family Shoe channel.


Manage the NB Canada social media channels

  • Community management:
    • Be the voice of NB on all relevant social channels, working closely with the consumer marketing leads across the team to understand the key product and brand stories, and from there build out the social content calendar, then execute against that.
    • Reply to consumer questions and comments as part of ‘customer care’.
  • Strategy:
    • Work alongside the US social media associate and the social media agency to build out the Canada specific social strategy across organic and paid. Objective to build strong engaged communities across the NB handles.
    • Build out the social media influencer strategy and partnerships, working across the marketing consumer groups and in collaboration with the North American & US teams.
    • Explore new medium/platforms to expand New Balance’s reach with consumers in a compelling way
  • Reporting:
    • Produce regular reports and learnings to share across the org and drive future strategy and execution, including working with content tracking and social listening platforms.


    • A minimum of 3 years of integrated marketing experience, with an understanding of social media.
    • A strong track record of bringing brand and product stories to life in the retail (wholesale & owned) & digital environment, delivering on key sell through metrics.
    • Knowledge of content production (video, still photography, editorial development) and distribution.
    • Experience managing vendors and talent for on-time, in-budget delivery.
    • Strong consumer awareness and product knowledge of the athletic and lifestyle footwear space.
    • Experience developing media buying briefs and evaluating agency media proposals.
    • Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities, duties and/or projects, with excellent planning and organizational skills, and the ability to work across a complex matrixed organization.
    • Self-motivated, creative, flexible and adaptable to new situations, with excellent communication skills.
    • Bachelor’s Degree or above.
