Responsibilities

As the Product Manager - Basketball, you will be the resident expert on the target basketball consumer, researching and maintaining consumer intelligence for briefing purposes.  You will be a key member in the merchandising, initiation, design, development, and confirmation of products within the global category. You will work closely with design, development, and other cross-functional teams to develop timelines, create forecasts, and identify costing and market issues. In this role, you will assess market competition and trends to gather qualitative and quantitative data for purposes of product positioning. You will evaluate on-going in-line products to ensure continuous improvements and identify new global category opportunities. You will evaluate prototype products and make recommendations for improvement. You will make formal product presentations to management, the sales force, and key external customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years experience; 4 years of experience in footwear product marketing or within the industry. MBA preferred.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong merchandising and presentation skills.
  • Business planning and analytical skills.
  • Solid product and industry knowledge.
  • Frequent travel required (domestically & internationally)
